Thermal Bypass Checklist Verification We can help you minimize homeowner complaints by verifying that your homes pass ENERGY STAR's new Thermal Bypass Checklist (TBC). "Thermal bypasses" are areas within the home where heat can flow around or through insulation because the insulation is poorly aligned with the air barrier or the air barrier is missing or incomplete.
